More about Our Cosmic Story
Our Cosmic Story is a big picture view of our Universe and the potential it has for life and civilization. We start by looking back at the story of Earth and its great civilizations, understand how life itself evolved Homo sapiens, review the challenges and risks that a species entails in developing a civilization and growing into a space-fairing entity, and then explore the makeup of the Universe to gain insight into the chance of other sentient creatures living elsewhere.
The quest to reach beyond the confines of our world is a natural consequence of being a very small part of a grand and dynamic Universe. Looking up at the sky instills within us some expectation that we are not alone, and we wonder if there is not something amazing happening out there somewhere. This sense of awe may not be exclusive to Earthlings; for in a galaxy truly far away, there could be creatures with similar musings as they peer towards our corner of the Universe. The idea that we share a common experience with others in the cosmos is something to keep in mind while reading this book.

I found this an entertaining quick read on the possibility of discovering extra terrestrial life. Even with a small conservative probability, there are a relatively large number of civilized planets predicted to exist. We must either be on the brink of receiving signals or being detected, given the likelihood that two are within communicable range; or some other explanation is responsible for our existence. Unique creation is one and if you want to call that religion, it may not be, in any shape or form, like anything ever imagined.Product details

Is Anybody Out There? An Expanded Excerpt From Our Cosmic Story OCS Book 2 Mathew Anderson Reviews
This is a great science fiction story and The mathematics are fun but they are an theory without any backing.
This was very interesting. Given all the possibilities in this book of the possible civilizations out there it makes you wonder..
The author does a good job of showing the probabilities of extraterrestrial life. The book is well written and a good addition to his former book,
This additional chapter not only dives into the age long argument of why we are not alone in the universe but does it so through scientific proofs and grabs your attention through popular pop culture reference which makes it easy to read and opens your mind to what could and might be.
Fun read and thought exercise. There is nobody out there, effectively. Size time and speed preclude our ever meeting ET The light house effect eliminates our ever hearing the alien I Love Lucy but fun to imagine.
This reviews the concepts of searching for other intelligent life in the Universe in a interesting and enjoyable way. No fantasy predictions , Just the methods and results. I recommend it for late night reading.
Great book with most of I ever thought about the subject. The update of Drake equation was very clever. Congratulation to Mathew Anderson.
